Oh God - this isn't going to result in a Tank/vagina battle, is it?

Absolutely barbaric!! I have a tattoo and decided to put myself through any possible pain for said tattoo. Was the cat mentally and intellectually competent enought to be asked if it wanted a tattoo and was it able to understand the possibility of ensuing pain, I doubt it!!

It is nearly all removed but you should be able to see remnants of said tattoo on profile pic.

If there is one way of making me the grumpiest bitch on the face of this earth its unnecessary animal cruelty - this includes such brainless desires including declawing etc.

concur. I don't care about cruelty to people really because thats what people are, and thats what people do. But cruelty to animals I cannot stand.

Man, that is a cruel thing to do to a cat. I didn't view the link, I can imagine the poor animal's suffering. The owner is a thick, selfish idiot to have done it.

EDIT: I decided I'd better have a look since I was commenting... I'd really question the ethics of the vet who must have been involved to do the anaesthetic/sedation. I wouldn't think the Vet council or whoever would be very impressed. Or the SPCA. Disgusting.

I find breeders who develop such freaks as hairless cats pretty suspect, too. Of course, they wouldn't do it if there wasn't a market. People are sickening at times.

Providing the animal does not suffer I relay don't see a problem...........think the owners might have a few but that's another issue.

Personally, I'm not convinced that it's not a big hoax. Wouldn't a tattoo like that be quite red and inflamed around the edges, being freshly completed? My tattooing knowledge is zip though, so I might be way off base.

Keeping an animal under anaesthetic for 3 hours is quite risky in itself though.
