    Cool For males only...

So we have all had females who did not understand the bikie thingy. And some of us still stayed with them because, well because...shit I dont know. We just did. We had kids and bought a house.

And then we have had females who ride bikes.

And today I wonder what was wrong with me, why did I not stipulate that anyone settling with me had to like/ride bikes.

Why do we think that we can live with someone who does not share that love for bikes?

Or am I just deluded here?

May the bridges I burn light the way.

I met my Lady on the way to a bike rally - ie we were both going - shes a KEEPER.

I know what you mean tho - a certain Mod on here cracked me up when he said (prolly over a beer) " My last wife said if I buy one more bike, she'll leave me. Problem was, it took her 2 years to live up to her side of the deal" LOL LOL

    Cool

And from my own experience I have noticed that gals who like riding are soooo much easier to get along with. The ones who worry re their nails and handbags might look cute. But come daylight...

yup....There is a lot to be said for similar interests especially when the initial lust settles a little. My lass..God bless her, has tried to get into bikes with much encouragement from me, but has now settled into being happy as a pillion. She encourages my interest with all sorts of ...."you deserve it" type comments, and I appreciate those.

The reality is we cannot change the past, and I wonder if a different path in the past would be any better, or only different.

I got a lovely lady, not as much into bikes and some other things as I am, but superior in many other ways.

I couldn't imagine a partner without a bike anymore. My lady rides an XB Ulysess, looks right sexy alongside my Tiger. Well it did until I wrote it off a couple of weeks back. Can't wait until the new one arrives. Just got back from my first pillion ride on the Buell, what a blast!

LBD, if it works I salute you. But we both know that being a biker is something that is in the blood, it is part of you. A little like trying to get a female who loves Lionel Ritchy to enjoy Iron Maiden. You pay for the ticket, she comes because she cares for you, but the whole concert she is i pain, and you can see it on her face. And it hurts you too. Stll does not want you to go to wathch that Richy guy thou...

My Mrs aint into bikes, That's fine as far as I'm concerned.

The bike is mine, and the time I spend on it is mine.

Though I did take her for her first ride in a few years (10) just a couple of weeks ago and she seemed to enjoy it and wants to do more.

Thats also fine, I enjoyed having her on the back. The bike seemed to as well.

Nah, we're all loose hussies apparently

It swings both ways though, there's a lot of guys I've met who've reacted with horror at the fact I like bikes, climbing, and various other activities that don't involve an early night and a good book.

There are big fearty killjoys on both sides of the gender divide!
has developed a love of big fours. WTF!
