    My father used to frequently visit Mozambique... lots of socio economic problems, but still some lovely places there.

    Hahaha - on a related topic and one which is perfectly true, my ex- boss went to work a couple of years ago as Marketing Director for a large Asian pulp and paper manufacturer. The major topic at his first health and safety meeting at one of their Indonesian factories was the company grader driver who had got hauled out of his cab whilst forming a new forestry road and eaten! Sure beats the normal H&S topics like paper cuts and RSI! Tiger attacks have apparently become more prevalent with overcutting of their habitat. Go the tigers

    I saw a guy at a conference once who was the head dude in charge at some lion sanctuary.

    he advised us that if confronted with a lion you should back away slowly without turning your back in an L shape. That is step sideways once twice and then backwards....

    Of course someone asked why sideways first when your instinct must be to just run like hell - he of course replied that you step sideways so as to avoid stepping in your own shit!
