Front fork inner tube size For srv250 / compatibility?

Hey bikers this is my first post to the forum so howdy all.

I bought a secondhand srv250 a couple of months ago with only 13k on the clock and bent front forks. Only paid $50au so i got lucky. Only problem its a rare bike and not one wrecker in Aus has any forks.

All i need is the inner tubes measure 38mm by 590 or thereabouts.

Does anyone know if the inner tubes are compatible with any other yamaha bikes ie fzr250 of srx250 etc.

I can get the original innertubes but they cost 350 each.

Should be a sweet bike when i get it on the road.

    Cheers Riverrat

Surely the wreckers would know that sort of thing?:spudwhat:

When I replaced the front disks on the VF500, the first wrecker said they would be impossible to get, the second said, "Hmmm... I reckon those are the same size as an NS250". He was right.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Why don't you replace the entire forks? Take them off and go round the wreakers trying to match some up, even different brands of bikes may have the exact same forks.
