    Kawasaki parts/paint source

    Eventing/morning/greetings etc

I have a fairly tricked up 2005 zx6rr, the guy who i bought it off has put allot of stuff in it so it handles and powers on the track nicely.

All good, she goes and turns but there's some parts here and there that have a fairly hard life that i would like to replace, along with a couple of scratches on the tank that i want to paint over.

I know of a few businesses around (one owned by some good mates) who can import the parts new from japan (or where ever) but the list is getting a little long and it includes a coupe of fairing parts and a couple of brackets that will bring the freight from dumb to stupid.

I know of bike breakers in ngaruawahia and thats about it for bike wreckers i know of in the hamilton (ish) area.

Any suggestions on sourcing parts and a good place to get the right paint?

If it wasn't for a concise set of rules, we might have to resort to common sense!

    mister.koz,
I have used Bike Bandit a lot and they are good. I have also used Chaparral for accessories and they now carry the oem parts.

But don't use the Colorite unless you have to. The paint is not top shelf and very expensive. Here in the states all major auto paint stores have a scanner that will match the most difficult of paints. I am sure they have such systems in your back yard.

That's good to know about Colorite. They do indeed have the ability to match paint here from samples. PM crazefox.

Now do the same one at your local Stealership. Be sure to giggle when they tell you a) the cost and b) the delivery.
