Just a quick hello to you all.
I'm Sam from Kerikeri, just got a black 2004 R1, after not having a bike for a few years. A big step up for me, so just easing into it at the moment.
To any of you around the Bay of Islands, you should see me commuting for work, Okaihau - Kerikeri most days, or cruising around Keri during my lunch break. If you do, give me a wave or say hi.
I'm sure i'll show up on here from time to time with some questions

oh for sure. I've had the occasional ride on a z650, and been on a few motocross bikes not so long ago... had a zxr 250 years ago. although nothing compares to the R1, never experienced the front wheel starting to lift at 200 before

Yes! i'm 1.5km from the horeke pub - go past it everyday. I love it too, its my local. I'm up by the methodist mission house. It is really nice there, i hope you got the tour of the restaurant, and it also does accomodation now, the rooms are right on the water.Originally Posted by klingon
