After-work rides?

Hi all,

Just wondering if there are any others out there looking for riding buddies in the Auckland area?

I currently have a bit of spare time on week nights and sometimes on the weekends if I'm not out fishing.

I've been riding just over a year. Still riding on my L plate (sorting that out soon) but fairly confident. All is good, except none of my mates are into bikes and those that are don't have one. Looking for others in a similar situation I guess and of course anyone else who is keen. Wouldn't mind tagging along with more experienced riders too if they don't mind.

Destination anywhere I guess. I guess rides would be short - medium distance with me being on the learner's 10pm curfew and all.

My bike is an XR250L and I work central. I knock off at 5.30pm most evenings.

We have 2 regular KB after-work weekly rides, depends on which way you want to go:

North - The ATNR (Auckland Thursday Night Ride) meets @ Westgate Shell 6.30pm on Thursdays SEE HERE for the thread. Learners welcome as long as you can do 100kph.

South - South Auckland Thursday Night Ride, I think they name a place (Papakura etc..) to meet so you will be better off looking HERE and reading the thread...


There is also a 250 club which details could be found HERE. They have quite a few rides during the weekends but not sure about weekdays.......

I'm free monday after noon, tuesday after noon, thursday after 3pm, and saturday WHOOOLE DAY. you can pm me if you know you are going on a ride or if its a short notice, flick me a txt will pm u my #. I'll ride with anyone anytime. Direction doesn't matter.

yeah I'm keen as long as weather is good I'musualy free Wed's after work and alternating Fri arvos and usually free every second Sat after 2pm. Send me a pm and take it from there..
same goes me don't have many mates to go for rides with - met 2 peeps off here so far - so totally looking to increase the numbers so far just stuck with communting and yep still on my L plate hoping to restricted test very soon but only been riding since Aug 08. Got a Ninja 250 2008 model
