Was planning to do this and don't mind a bit of wet, but just wondering...
Is Puke rideable in the rain or does the water pool up big time and make it too dodgey?
Haven't ridden there in the wet before, only on slicks in very light drizzle.

cant help on that matter but I was planning on turning up tomorrow too for practice....although if its raining I won't bother because the forcast is looking good for the weekend so no point practicing in the wet and risking a oppsy if its going to be a dry race. Might pop out and watch you play in the puddles though toast![]()
hey there
from local knowledge and some experience, rain water becomes a small stream across the track at the entrance to the hill. usually enough to straight line vehicles into the barrier
puddles gather on the outside of the front straight also
alot of new re-surfacing has been done around the hairpin making it really slippery, the switch into castrol corner is very slippery also!!
stay off the ripple strips they are huge and painted,
good luck will try an get under an umbrella for a watch over the weekend
Do tell more ??
I've done a testday at Puke in the pouring rain and while it puddles it only does it on the edge of the track. The stream on the hill is unpredictable. I seen it on a perfectly dry day but bearly noticed it on the wet day.
I'll be there regardless as I don't plan to be beaten by a Clubman's burglar either !![]()
