    OK, I'll explain.

'Flaming' is an old internet tradition, involving invective, argument, insults against ancestors to the nth generation, and the occasional truck bomb outside a particularly annoying opponent's bedroom window.

It happens a lot on KB. You just weren't familiar with what it's called.

A posted (or emailed) message along the lines above is referred to as a 'flame'. The posting thereof is the act of 'flaming', the poster is the 'flamer', the target, or 'flamee', is 'flamed'.

    You get the gist.

A regular occurrance on any sizeable online forum is the eruption of long sequences of invective, arguments, insults against ancestors, etc surrounding a particular point at issue. These sequences of 'flames' are referred to as 'flame wars'.

The participants in flame wars are 'flame warriors'.

The ha-ha-only-serious 'Flame Warrior' list is a description of the typical personality types of combatants.

    That makes sense
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

For those who can't use the Quick Links pulldown, I have added the links to the homepage navbar.

Truuuue- Honestly - it's the $3.5K of upgrading Photoshop, dreamwaver, flash, quark (indesign then), 3d Studio, Freehand, and all my other apps to make it worthwhile. And that's just my licenced stuff ;-) Classic mode is what i already have.

Got 10.4 on the Mrs ibook if i need it.

And I'm happy with the way it's all working. cept for the aforementioned pull down shite.

Oh oh please someone label and catagorize me!
Is this really necisary? (sp) Seems to me it would only start more flamewars when someone with no sense of humor gets nominated for something they don't like. Just my opinion, could be fun I guess.

The trouble with you Hitcher is that even though you're anally retentive about spelling & punctuation you also contribute hugely to the site...asbestos pants and all!
