Bloody good idea - you can buy the 650 as a learner then have the restrictor removed when on your full Wonder if NZ is doing this how our learner laws are changing to HP not cc.

Suzuki NZ is getting them in soon - they will be running alongside the SV650S, estimated to be slightly cheaper than the S model.

You can get any bike restricted to 33BHP for learner status in the UK - including GSXR's. Great idea - get used to the feel of a big bike and how it handles. Your not made to feel like a "learner" being on a 250 or feel like you have to prove something and you don't waste money trading up.

I'd be very keen to get a nice 600cc-1000cc sportsbike and get it restricted.

When the restrictor is removed, it goes like a cut flower.

One wonders if Dame Edna will star in the commercials for these new Suzukis?

That would require a level of cultural awareness few Japanese ever expend on Western Culture.

It's perhaps the safest motorcycle on the planet. It would never leave the garage, as the owner would be too embarrassed to be seen on it.

    It looks awful.
