Dashunds are great little dogs! They used to be used for feretting cos they're so fiesty! We used to own a wired haired one that we got from a dog refuge place. He'd take on dogs 10 times his size - halrious to watch. He lived to a ripe old age too.Originally Posted by Jackrat

I have recently lost one of my all time best mates.
13 years of unconditional love and companionship, then he up and dies at my feet.
Gone but never forgotten.

DON'T RIDE LIKE YA STOLE IT, RIDE TO SURVIVE.
Flynn was my fishing buddy, when ever I wanted to go, he was right there at the back of the boat waiting. No one was more excited about fish coming on board than him. He would leap off the back of the boat to swim with dolphins.
He would stalk stingrays and sprats in the shallows. I could even take him floundering and he would go into stealth mode. (if you've ever tried floundering you'll know how quiet you have to be.)
He came to work with me a lot. His behaviour was impeccable. I wish I could take all of the credit, but I think he was just a very special hound.
No matter how tired, grumpy, nasty or indifferent I was when I came home, he would have me smiling in about 20 seconds.
We walked the neighbourhood every single night, like a vigilante patrol, we did get to make a small difference in our hood.
I wish the dog hating beaurocrats and council lawmaking w*nk**s out there could have the chance to see that a dog not on a leash is not necessarily a dog not under control.
One day I will try to love again, if they don't end up making ownership of dogs illegal as well.
I think this quote sums it up well.
"The one absolutely unselfish friend that man can have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him, that never proves ungrateful or treacherous is his dog. He will kiss the hand that has no food to offer; he will lick the wounds and sores that come in encounter with the roughness of this world. When all other friends desert, he remains." — George G. Vest, 1884

Good story mate - I hate dogs, and that sucks cause it's not really the dogs that I hate,it's the stupid fucking owners that make them like that.I've met a hell of a lot of really nice dos,but I've also come across a hundred times more nasty mistreaded dogs that should eat their owners...slowly.

Litte johnny was sitting in the back of the class room with his cat crying.
When the teacher asked him why he had his cat and why he was crying he replied.
This morning I heard my mum and the post man talking and he said he was going to eat her pussy when the kids went to school.

Death cometh sooner or late

Than facing fearful odds
