    Thanks all.

For the record - cheapest I've found is www.prodriver.co.nz at $500 for the license. They are in Chch which is fine with me (airpoints eh? Just love them!)
$2,000 cash if you find a buyer for my house, kumeuhouseforsale@straightshooters.co.nz for details

You'll find they do Dangerous Goods endorsements as well /2 day course/ and have some handy materials they give out with that. /quick reference charts for DG that you'll definitely always need/.

If you can invest in getting at least up to class 4 and all the endorsements, you'll never be without a job.
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

I did my HT classes (2 and 4) by working as a labourer at a trucking firm for 2 weeks voluntarily- already had my L for class 2 see...
the manager let me sit my test in an Izusu 14 tonner-
    passed too-

They gave me an employment contract to sign back at their yard, and gave me a job as a driver.
That was 15 years ago- drove heavy's for 6 years after, work in IT now.

That was years ago but was a good way to get in and get my license-
So, make sure your one of the better ones if ya get into it for a living bro-
    Just ride.
