Best place to mount a radar detector?

    Hey everybody

I have just got myself a radar detector but I'm unsure of where to mount it, will it detect through a blacked out tinted screen or do I need to mount it above it?

I ride a 06 zx636 to give you a idea of where fairings and things would be.

    Thanks
    JB

mine works behind my tinted screen. it could go anywear facing forward, mine works good on a mount on the bars behind the screen, probley kinda protected too.

Higher and further to the right the better ! But a screen aint gonna hold it back !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

Joe, if your 636 has a hollow steering head stem you could rangi up a mount at work & use the appropriate Dyna bolt to clamp it on...I did that on the bros,& it will work fine thru the sceen.
