Only one company worth speaking too. No one else comes close.

Dave and Donna at Kiwibike (www.kiwibike.co.nz)

Im not even a customer of theirs at current yet Dave is doing heaps to help me with a claim at the moment. I cannot recommend his services enough.

Wot he said. Tim's KB'r and a nice guy! I found Kiwibike nice people, but they were a couple hundy dearer. Classic Cover is worth a call if you're over 30.

Just got cover from kiwibike. Rang JB and they were good too, but almost 250 dollars more than Kiwibike. Hows this for service? I emailed saying I'd like to go ahead with insurance and what should I do next. 10 mins later phone goes and it's Dave.
Very friendly and everything was very professional.
Lets hope I don't have to use them (if you know what I mean ;-))
Pick bike up tomorrow if garage has got the rego sorted for me!!
    Can't wait!

That's a puzzle! Did you speak to Tim, (Jetboy), at JB? I've just completed insurance with him over the phone as his quote was equal to Classic Cover and as mentioned a couple hundy under Kiwibike.

Big ups to Tim, thanks mate! He's doing his best for KB'rs and a guy I spoke to from Ullyses said they only use JB now.

yeah, what those guys said. I'm with John Baker, and very chuffed. There's a couple of other bike-orientated insurers out there, so shop around a bit.

STAY AWAY from Protecta tho.. 25% of vehicle value excess is just plain rediculas nicholas

    I'll second that.

Way overpriced as well... I changed from protecta to state insurance and saved 20% on the annual costs...

What was that promo internet site that was quite public? "Ebikeinsurance" or something similar?

After conducting their online quotation, I found them to be quite pleasantly overpriced.

Have been with John Baker Insurance for a number of years now and am very happy with their service so would'nt consider changing. Have also heard good reports about Kiwi Bike Insurance too. Competition in industry is always a good thing for the consumers.

Kiwibike saved me over $190 compared to JB. Plus they were much quicker at returning my calls.

    Insurance companies have different profile
for person, place, bike, age etc. What's good (and cheap) for one person isn't necessarily good for someone else. Shop around, get a (substantially) lower price and check cust satisfaction for payment of claims.

oh, and when calling round for quotes, don't forget to ask if your gear is covered (some do, most don't) and if track days are covered too
