Should you be allowed a spare bike?

I looked at those proposed rules, whats all this valve cutting, porting bla bla bla looks like the only thing they say you cant do is change the cams which is about the only thing i can afford to do as you dont have to pull the engine out!!

I dont really see why they wanna piss around with all these rulings as you can pretty much do anything you want! Even if they say "standard" engines. My idea with a standard engine is just that as i picked it up but the rule will be open to rebuiling an engine etc where theres untold mods that can be done and still be "standard"

The better option would be to say you can do anything you want but we will be spot dyno checks and your bike cant be more then 180 hp atw easy!

But with which Dyno ? That idea would work but what leaway would ya give, as there (aparently) is quite a difference tween dyno's !

Yeah thats the main point really, so unless everyone in the class has a spare bike there is a psychological advantage as well

See the point with psychological advantage ! There is that, even with a noob like me ! Scored a New/better? bike and couldn't sell the old one !
Same class (both underpowered lol) but the head said yehaaaa, give it to it (still trying to do that)

It works for formula extreme in oz...? You would have to have a say 5% margin for error or something, maybe even have the dyno that will be the actual test unit available for machine checking prior to the nats

Works ok with non-modded(exhaust/pc only) machines of the same manufacture as a comparison, but it would show up a large hp bike I guess. People could still put in a soft map for it though..

Stoud did have 1. That bike of bugdns was for who ever needed it 1st weather it be ray clee bugdn or stroud thats y charlette could only do the very last race on it incase 1 of them needed it
