    NZSBK Pukekohe. CHOPPA

    NZ SUPERBIKE NO 6!

    Qualifying;

    Id missed Thursday and Friday practice sessions so I had a bit of time to make up seen id only done a handful of laps here on the super bike but I slapped on a new set of Dunlops and managed a 59.3 to put me on the grid 8th behind Dennis Charlotte who was on double duty.

    Race 1;

    Always balance your tyres!! The race had to be restarted due to rain but we still didn’t have enough time to balance the front wheel so oh well off to the grid, id ridden on worse!
    Andrew sorta jumped the start then stopped and started again, I tried to go beside him and I think I may have pushed Reece onto the grass (sorry) I got behind Hayden and just tried to match his pace as best possible, I stayed within about 1-2 second off him for the whole race. I ended up 6th as Gareth had a problem and retired

    PB Lap time 58.8

    Race 2;

    Terrible start, the bike was hopping all over the show allowing Reece by, I got a bit held up through turn 2 and 3 as I watched the pack disappear. I passed Reece into the hairpin and set after Hayden and Charlotte. I managed to catch and pass Dennis into turn 1 on about lap 10 but no matter what I did I just couldn’t make any time up on Hayden, I finished 7th

    PB Lap time 58.6

    Overall for the day 6th

    Overall for the Nationals 6th

    Please take the time to have a bit of a read through my sponsors guys, if not for them theres no way I could race. If companys like this can see some return with extra sales etc its not only good for me but its good for all of you as its more encouraging for businesses to see a bit of value for there support and in turn start helping more guys like you and I

    Congrats Choppa, and thanks for the kind words,

    you should be very proud of the way you rode, with a budget and finish inbetween two riders with huge amounts of experience, to do this in the 1st year with not ever riding on 3 out of 5 tracks before is pretty amazing, keep up the good work,

    and cheers for keeping on the reports on here.

    Nice one Choppa. Seeing as your sponsor does Suzukis too is there a chance you'll be on one next year? Would be good to see you out there on a more level playing field.

    Ditto ! Well done man, good bloody effort !
    A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
    The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !
