See you all next Sunday hopefully. I think the right decision was made to can today's ride. The weather was just too dodgy and after an hour out on my bike I'm gald to back inside. Nigel
I used the opportunity to test the winter thermals. A quiet little run and yes it was nice to be home. Bike is now heavy duty wired for accessories so should be able run the heated handgrips, and make the hot chocolate.

We had a few minutes of light snow this avo at home.

Hey guys guess what I did yesterday?

Yep, went for a ride: SNOW, wind, sleet, rain and freezing cold.... and I really enjoyed it!!!

But it is a good thing we did not do the group ride because if anyone did not have VERY warm and totally waterproof gear they would have been in a bad way (hypothermia). I will do a separate thread about my ride - the surprise in Martinborough alone was worth it!

The long range forecast looks terrific for next Sunday. See pic below. Hope the forecast holds true.

One thing I noticed yesterday: colder at 50ks than 100+. The fairing and screen works eh?

Ride this Sunday - Lunch in Martinborough via back roads.

The weather forecast for the Wairarapa and Manawatu is good: partly sunny and no rain.

Its going to be a great ride, and THIS TIME it will not be cancelled!

See above posts for route and maps. [posts 227 and 240]

Hi All. Does anybody know of a Sunrise to sunset ride. It is in the latest Manawatu Uylsses Mag.
Starts at lottin point 18ks from Hicks bay and finishes at the windwand in New Plymouth.
Ride is on the Sunday of Labour Weekend.

Sounds like a great ride. Will try and find more information if anybody is Keen.

Have heard of it before & it would be a nice ride (have done roughly that route twice on the Southern Cross). Must be the weekend after the GC...

This is a Feilding Riders Club thread and while I don't mind your question, you might get a better response if you post in another category or start your own thread. You can also contact the Manawatu Ulysses via their website: http://ulysses.org.nz/manawatu.html

Cheers Brent. It could be a nice ride to slot into but it would be a three day ride for us or a 24 hour challenge.

Ouch. We all know the Feilding Riders never ever go off topic. Maybe caused by withdrawal symptoms from not being able to ride.

Join them on Sunday, no beating allowed. Someone tells me it is going to be fine and sunny on the Wairarapa plains.

Thanks for the clarification. I had been on other forums too much and forgot KB is the Wild West where anything goes, anyone can do anything to whatever whenever. All I really care is that we get a group ride on Sunday! The weather is looking good but even if it wasn't I think Kiwikat and I would have a go.
