Was going to pop out tonight but after a couple ( or 3 ) wines and still a big tea to come I think it best to stay put tonight.

Hi. New member to the Kiwi Biker forums. I'm a Feilding local and ride a V-Strom 650. I'm keen to come along on a few rides. Sorry I'm working in New Plymouth this week otherwise I would come to the meeting.

I agree that our area has some great roads for rides. Last Sunday I rode up the Pohangina Valley East Road , through Utuwai and across to Apiti then back home to Feilding. Awesome roads.

I'll be going on the Marton to the Mountain ride this coming Sunday.

    Cheers
    Nigel

Nice bikes those. Will have to catch up with on some rides soon. I can't make the Sunday ride but the flyers sound interesting. It would be interesting to know more about it. You might like to post up your comments about the ride.

    Cheers Gary.

Feilding Riders Club 2nd meeting 25/03/08

We muddled along tonight but there was a good crowd and some good ideas came out.
Thanks to everyone who came along, a 367% improvement in numbers on our 1st meeting. From 3 up to 11.

Rides being organised (further details to follow)
    - Sunday 5th April, a light cruise for "end of summer" heads 10:00 then lunch
    - Sunday 26th April to Napier via backroads, feeds and return
    - Weekend 9/10 May Tokaanu, possibly overnight.

Other suggestions included 800km rides, linking in with other groups etc.
    to develop over time.

day ride, cruisey pass to Tokaanu, just out of Turangi, via Ohakune for lunch. Hot pools, cabins and cards at Tokaanu, return the next day.

10:00am departure - Day after daylight saving makes it 11:00 in today time. Suggestions are to leave from a servo so everyone can fill up etc so there might be a change as to where we leave from.

Mid June - shortest day - Night ride to Wellington is a possibilty. It will be cold.

what about a night ride to the Reading cimema or the Regent for a movie and dinner then back - Wellington

Its random but gives the ride a point. Could be fun....

Thanks. Leaving from a Service Station sounds like a good idea.

Date / time. Post it on the site and go for it. You only need to give a little bit of warning and get 3 or 4 on board. Remember that night riding has an increased chill / risk factor for some riders though. Not everyone has the right gear.
