Nothing will be more on my mind, I'm one of those summer weight riders myself. All my gear is armour and mesh and not much else. And if my riding partner comes along, shes only slightly better off.

Look at doing a night ride on the shortest day of the year IE longest night.
Head to Wellington for a burger. Will confirm date later.
May leave Feilding at 9.00pm Return 1.00am.
Heated Hand grips would be nice, and woollies a must.
If it is raining then ride will not go ahead, Don't need the extra problem of wet and cold.

Shortest Day - weekend is 20th to 21st June.- for possible date for Burger Run.

Sarah showed her SPOT satellite messenger at the Wednesday meeting. These are terrific value for what they do and the suggestion is that the club look at one for future rides. Sponsorship or donations a possibility.

    SPOT link for specs etc.

No one said all were, the ones that think they aren't can look after themselves, its the new ones I was referring to that may need extra attention and consideration on longer rides.

That and the fact not all 250's are fast, they range from being tapped out at 120pkh up to about 200kph so some will be at their max for a long time on a long trip even at the speed limit.

Things to consider when we do a trip and invite ALL along. Better to plan now than have them fail later mid ride with no options.

Hi Sarah. I would be interested to see your Spot Messenger - will you bring it on Sunday? It does seem like a good item for clubs to purchase.

You mention "a new rider from over the ridge". Not sure what ridge that is but I hope to join the Fielding Riders for the second time. Nathan from Carterton may come as well, plus a new KB'er from Masterton.

Kiwikat, are you going to the BBQ Saturday evening? I met a group of Wgtn KB'ers yesterday in Upper Hutt who are going, so the BBQ looks to be a big KB event. I would like to go to the BBQ and your Sunday ride, so a night in PNth looks a possibility.
    ..

Will be there on sunday and if you let me know your email address beforehand I can put it on and we can send ok messages to your email (and anybody elses who wants to play) so you can see how it works.

I've got the leather winter gloves ($70.00) now so nearly ready to rock. Next purchase heated handgrips.

Mint weather forecast for tomorrow. Feilding Ride this Sunday leaves from BP by roundabout at 10:00am. (non daylight saving time, giving you and extra hour to wake up). Just so you don't get lost it will be heading through Colyton, Raumai, Ashhurst, Saddle, Maharahara, Oringi, Kohinui, Pahiatua, Konini, Scarborough, Ballance and finishing at "Cafe Over the Bridge" just through the Manawatu Gorge at 12:15.

Planned stops at Saddle Rd. Windmills lookout (10:30)approx and Pahiatua BP (11:40).

This is planned to be an all abilities Sunday Ride. Hope to see you there.
