Holy shitballs! Regos are on the up!

Buggar me, to register 4 wheels goes up 40 bucks in July, what does this mean for our bikes?

I blame fucking wanker drivers, namely the pissheads and those belonging to the blue power that like writing other people's machines off

I was reading somewhere that learner's may be able to start on 400's could this be a porky? I bloody hope so.

Bike ACC levies went up just recently. Expect another increase.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

I posted a while back but there was little interest,to register my DR650 here in the NT is the equivalent of NZ$855. (Insurance is extra)

You are paying peanuts now but am sure it will go sky high sooner than later and i bet there will be little protest.

    ACC we're screwed!

Yep and it's all a load of shit!

The rego levy (year end 2008) collected $53.8 million
The petrol levy (year end 2008) collected $236.6 million

It seems to me that a few, cover the cost of many!

    Sports Injuries (year end 2008)
    Rugby union $40 million
    League $10.6 million
    Touch $6.4 million
    Soccer $14.1 million

Between Falls, sports injuries and medical mis-adventure we're screwed!

Ever noted those flash offices they have all over the country? they gotta cost.
What about the twice a year office shift? yep it's done by contractors, they've got a manditory policy that makes them every six months move desks, phones, puters, chairs etc around the office, we are paying for that too!

arrr yeah but hasn't it got a compulsory third party insurance cover built into the rego?

Do you have a fire extinguisher handy ?
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

As said insurance (damage) is extra.

Biggest rego cost is personal injury (AU version of ACC)

As far as road accidents go, why don't they just make the fuckers that caused the havoc pay or insurance should cover it? Would'nt that make sense as opposed to making us pay for it collectively?

Rips my undies how the government brings these increases in when there's so many families hurting out there at the moment.....

    It doesn't work that way.
I remember reading a ACC report of some years back that said something along the lines of,of some 700 + motorcycle accidents over 400 were deemed as the other party at fault.
Things are more black and white as ACC does not attribute blame to compensation ?
That then might be read as,in over 700+ motorcycle accidents the motorcyclist was the majority accident victim and so was then the highest claimant as a percentage compared to other road related pay outs.
In turn that would increase the levy to that high claim group.

I guess that was collision related and not single bike/vehicle accidents.

Damage insurance is probably little different given even a TL1000 sliding down the road without impact can be a $3000/$4000 bill which is effectively a write off, something like a new GSXR1000 would be much higher perhaps, your policy or excess just increased because of it.

Yup, agreed. You guys have nuthin to complain about, you've got it good.

Here I'm paying €488pa for the car, only €69 for the bike but there's no such thing as ACC... Instead I have to pay €100p/m for compulsory health ins.
It's just one of those days, where you don't wanna wake up,
    everything is fucked, everybody sucks,
You don't really know why but you wanna justify ripping someone's head off
