    1983 honda civic car help

I have a car which the susspension is fully gone (tyres are starting to rub on the gards etc)

what kinda options are out there for a cheap fix. is rebuilding the current 25 year old susspension worth it? Would going to the wreckers to by 25 year old susspension going to achive much?

dose new susspension (not like sport susspension - just normal grade stuff) going to break the bank?

I dont earn much money, and want a cheap soultion, but not sure which road to head down.

The car is unsafe on the open road.
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

my local tyre shop was prepared to supply and install new shocks all round for a four wheel drive for around four hundred. Littler ones could be cheaper

hmm thats still over an entire weeks pay for me, but it is an achievable saving goal - i could save by doing the instal myself.

    was that shocks and springs?

is it an "EB" shape... little hatchback thing? if yes the answer is... give it to me!

I would hit the wreckers... may need to/pay to shell out for new shocks but the rest should be relatively easy to source second hand

It sounds like your springs have sagged something fierce. You could get second hand struts from a wrecker and just bolt the whole assembly in at all four corners but it would depend on the exact model as to how easy they are to find. Then you face the very real probability that what you buy might pack up a year down the track.

Slip into Mag and Turbo, Midas or Pit Stop (if there's one near you) and see if they'll do a package deal (that you can pay off weekly) for new strut/spring assemblies. That way they'll be better than new and have a decent warranty.

problem is, i hate every single one of those shops

but yeah, i think i will go with new products, depending on how much they cost.

i remember seeing an ad on tv for the shock shop or somthing simerlar - has anyone delt with them before?

buy some shocks bro. or shorten them, effectively fucking with your damping rates. get a spring compressor and take skiddys face off while you are at it
