Help me fix road rash please!

Can anyone suggest a way to lessen the uglyness of road rash to the black side engine covers of my triple?

I've tried a brown paper bag but it blew off....

I had a 'whoopsy' on the on the Dessert Road on Saturday morning and was pretty lucky that the damage done was minor but the side covers have some deep scratches in the black finish. I need to do some thing before Mum see's it!

You'll need something that can handle the high temperature of the engine.

You could take it to a painter and see if they could touch it up with something.

Or if you need to hide it soon as you could always colour in the scratches with a black marker

Black felt pen endelible ink stays till ya steam clean it off, then i just spray bombed mine and it has lasted for months now and no sign of burning off!
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

VHT paint from Repco is great for engine casings, you can probably use some liquid metal epoxy to fill the big chunks.
I love the smell of twin V16's in the morning..
