From memory I think the YZF600 from the same year range shares the same forks (KYB 41mm USD's) so may be worth seeing if you can find info on those?

Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares? ...He's a mile away and you've got his shoes

The Yamaha dealer simply needs to contact the national distributor for such info, thats not hard. Maybe they dont want to give you the info, if that is so then maybe they also dont want any future business from you?

I only seem to have the part of manual for the SP (which was 464cc & 93mm level). Whatever you do a set of stiffer springs in the front will be an upgrade, unless you are very light. Think I went to 8.5 (I'm 77kg), I have the box somewhere. Actually if you get really stuck on oil I can dig out the fishe. Robert above could sort you out with springs & no doubt a revalve if you have some spare sliding (improved the SP so would be good idea on an R).
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
