    Restoring plastics

What's the best way to make bike plastics shine again after a few years of fade? Any magic product available?

Is the plastic just black and textured or is it painted? Do you have any pics of the area you want to restore?

This stuff is the go: http://pcracingusa.com/store/product...products_id=83

Works really well (provided you follow the instructions....but that's another story) most bike shops should be able to order it for you (not too many seem to stock it, I think they might be keeping secrets!)

I'm assuming (always dangerous) that you are talking about the plastics on your Freewind? If it's road bike stuff (textured black plastic) then this is also a good product though it does need to be reapplied occasionally to keep the newish look: http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/produc...?T1=MEG+G10810 Supercheap amongst other places carry it.

Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares? ...He's a mile away and you've got his shoes

A product like this will also do what you need:

I used this when I worked as a car groomer many years ago.

If you can easily take the panels off, The Plastic Repair Company can make them look like new (respray) at a pretty reasonable price.

On some plastics you can give some life back by warming the plastic up with a heat gun. This is how you get white crease marks out of mx bike gaurds after a fall.
    Then silcon it up
    Go Coops
