CS363 I now have twigged who you were referring to, certainly a wicked referral but it should go no further.
This little exercise was a very valuable exposure / test of human nature. Especially by anyone who felt threatened by the appearance of same even though it is within the rules. People walked in and out of Sams pit that hadnt done so for the entire Nationals, like bees to the honey. I think there is always an assumption that thinks the worst...are they cheating? I bet it costs megabucks etc.
The real version inclusive of telemetry was successfully used in the last 2 or three races of WSBK and was subsequently banned. It was banned not so much because of the Ohlins system but because the governing body really feared what technology BMW could bring from their Formula 1 experience.
I hope it appears at some time again in the future when everyone is not ducking for cover because of the world financial mess. Unless I am missing something a major component of racing is the ongoing quest to lap faster. Electronically controlled suspension is a new and exciting frontier.

Interesting what different views we all take on these things...

I looked at it first when DC was carrying it to your trailer and then again on Sams bike. My own view on it was hey thats cool but how on earth could you mentally cope with the potential range of change it would give on track.

The thought didn't cross my mind as to 'is it legal' but it obviously did to some out there.

Great wind up by you guys... I guess i'm a bit oblivious to the moaners and whingers in the paddocks at the moment but I'm sure I'll find out who they are.
The older i get the faster i used to be.......

What better motivation does a fellow racer need than to try and beat the guy with the electric shock! (pardon the pun)

I reckon we should hook it up to a computer with a radio link. That way RT can adjust Sam's shock mid-corner. Now that would be cool

Especially if they install a microphone as well so we can hear Sam's expletives when RT makes the changes.

You're getting slow in your old age....you'll know you've really lost it when you get to the polling booth and can't remember whether to tick the red or blue box....

You're not missing anything (except maybe a few brain cells as per above ) though unfortunately there are some people in the governing body that seem to have forgotten that basic component

    Anyway, back to the thread....

Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares? ...He's a mile away and you've got his shoes

Electric Vehicles are a new and exciting frontier. Electronic suspension is so eighties. Someone will be reinventing the wheel next...

Maybe they didn't wan't to see the same things happen as did in F1 leading to active suspension and traction control being banned.

"fresh air pie" but could be a "hot air pie" when the engine warms up.
