Surfcasters?

Anyone here into Surf Casting?
What gear do you use Etc
I use an Angler (Ausse rod) 15ft and Alvey A700A5
Spooled with 800m of 80 kg dacron
beats the shit out of the new gear

Yep, got a couple of 16ft rods and a couple of Alveys, a 651C5 wih the star drag and a 600A. Bulletproof reels which have stopped some serious beasties in their time.

If I want a high speed retrieve for salmon in the surf I swap over to a Penn 535, but Alveys are the business otherwise.
