What annoys me is that you would be told to get lost if you tried to buy a plate with SHIT or FAECES on it, but there are two plates in existence now with TUTAE and TUTAE2 on them - discrimination?

I am not allowed my first initial and surname on a plate as it is deemed offensive - FKING - that's not fair!

One of my favourites is on a drycleaner's van in Wellington - TAKEN2 and there used to be this Jap sports car with PKT4RE too.
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

Nah, went for L00CE to go on the Goose instead! Although I've already had one moron (Goldwing rider) who thought it was an alternative spelling of LUCY - dork!

My old suzuki had 69TPQ. I bolted the rego holder to the plate right over the cross bit of the Q so it looked like an O.

    Ha Ha speed camera proof.

    Unfortunate or ironic number plates

Someone mentioned recently the news item about the GAY plates being issued. I often see personalised plates that are baffling or dumb, but noticed a couple of plates lately that really are unfortunate or perhaps ironic and are not personal but standard issue. Anyone got some doozy's to tell?

I've seen a plain detectives Commodore SV with the plate DYK, and today we passed, and were repassed, by a new Porsche Panamera S with the plate FFS79, (I'll give you a few more seconds on that one...)

    What have you spotted lately?

Saw some hardcore 'gangster' guy in some jap shit box with a milo can exhaust.

Licence plate was "GAY679" (Not sure on the numbers, but was GAY for the letters)

He was trying to look tough too lol

Yup, it is the GAY series of plates time......
Apparently a BMW owner was up in arms when they have him the GAY69 plate....

EDIT: Since found out the plate was made 10 months ago, and never actually got used....

mmm would only cost $10 for another set of plates... maybe $20, once the GAY range is over.

    Still...

Is the GAY plate applicable to bikes?

I'd hate to go and buy a new Honda and end up with a plate reading 69GAY...........

    What are we at now?
My bike I got last year is ##EKB, so not too far away now.

I do have a ##YAG on the CBR.... Yup, that is bad enough. They wouldn't give me anything different when I had to pay $8 (as it was at the time) for that.
