The most unfortunate license plate I ever saw

Last night, I was headed down Dominion Rd and passed a bloke on a GN250 that had THE most unfortunate license plate I have ever seen. The plate was:

    15PEW

which on the face of it doesnt seem that bad until you relaise that the font they use on the plates made the 15 look like IS. Mind you, it could have been a personalised plate and he was just stating a life choice. I feel for the guy, but had to chuckle to myself for a few minutes anyway.

Yep, I've seen them and made the same connection - bloody dangerous plates, those! Uncontrollable laughter when riding a bike in public is not a good idea.

It's not a plate, but the best sign I've seen was outside Hokitika.

Are the plate people still afraid of "offending"? I recall they would not allow a guy named Nick to have this plate for his V8 car - 4NIK8
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

Also not a personalised plate: a friend's bike has the registration 69HOT - he won't part with it for some strange reason...

My new bikes plate is **WNK......

Guess what most people think that means...... me included the first time I was told what it was.

My plate is 27WEB, which is cool as 27 is my lucky number and I'm a web designer. Coincidence? I think the universe is on my side......

    How bout 6ULDV8?

Come to think of it, a bloke I worked with had an HSV Dunnydore with DV8 as the plate, so they must be getting a little more lenient.

Just as an aside, a few years back some bright spark with a spray can had a go at the Ramarama off ramp sign headed south and wrote "Ding-dong" on it, which I thought that was hilarious but no one else did.

When pers plates were first released DIEPIG was available, see its not allowed now. Big balls required for that one. MOTSUX was for sale a while ago. Thought of getting TSBSUX, suicidal? I think maybe.
