Wanted - learners bike.

Hi all, new to biking,

looking for bike to learn on . up to 250.
Road bike or dual purpose.
Up to 2000$ to spend.
preferably close to tauranga, for instance bay of plenty or waikato region.

Or just head into the local Triumph/Yamaha place and see him. Big bastard that looks slightly deranged. Nice guy though.

For that price you'd be looking at a rg150, fxr150, gn250 and possibly an 88 gpx250. That should help you out a bit.

Price of helmet = price you think your head is worth (IMO anyways)
As for the brand, yes some are better than others someone else will know more than me about that i'm sure. Just check what year it was made, try and buy 2009 model or failing that 2008, and make sure if has the safety standards on it too
