i dont follow who the guitarists are...its the band as a whole that I am interested in...

Currently my fave has to be Greenday, but will have to wait till Friday to see if that is gonna change....cos on Friday I will pick up a copy of Death Magnetic...A new Metallica album has to be the highlight of the week!

For rock with a capital "R" it has to be the guys from Airbourne.

for speed, would have to go to petrucci from dream theatre

for class, would have to be jimmy hendrix

for style (coming a very close first, just beating Jimmy) would have to be Slash

for creativity, would have to be Kurt Cobain

For metal with a capital "M" I like this.

Can I jump in and say ..... no one plays a guitar better than David Gilmour. That guy sends shivers up and down my spine.
Then a very close second woulld have to be Jimmy Page!
Everyone else would rate 3rd place.

Agreed always rated both of them very highly.

However my pick for favourite virtuoso is Joe Satriani.
