Riding position and helmet types make a big difference in how the sun low affects the vision. On my old XJ750, I used tape on the visor. On the FJ1200, I don't need to. Different bikes AND helmets...

As always... you do what you need to to ride safely. If you choose to admit it or not...

Can I ask some questions? They may appear blonde but I haven't had my first coffee yet.

Do you put it on the inside of your visor or the outside? Top of the visor or bottom? A friend of mine recommended the bottom but then I have to ride with my visor all the way up and that just makes my eyes water when riding in crisp weather. I ride with my visor slightly open anyway due to the fact it keeps fogging up and then fogs my glasses so if I did put tape on the top then wouldn't it constrict my view when I don't have sun strike due to having to put it further down the visor?

Ohh and also does it come in pink?

    It's tape.

Go to the Warehouse and they have a massive range of colours you can choose from.

    It's tape.

Try it where ever you so wish on your visor. If it doesn't work, just peel it off and reapply higher/lower/inside/outside.

    It's taaaape!

Tape is not a precision art.

I have flip face so just use sunnies but tape sounds good, must try.

Shut your visor and put a strip of tape at the top of it , just below the level of the helment itself. Choose any colour tape you like sticky, bet you could find some pink stuff if you really want it.

Putting tape on your bottom was never the idea.....
Black would be the better colour but I got blue cos thats all they had at the time.....I first saw the idea a some bike thing a few years ago, they were handing out free stuff and one thing was a 'visor sun bloke out stick on thing' but it was white with black circles

I tried a piece of wide duct tape(black) over the sunshade on my Nolan n102
and it worked a treat!I did not like looking thru the shade anyway. thanks for the tip.

My Grex with peak does the business brilliantly! I've tried a couple of other bikes lately, a 1250S Bandit and a DL650 V-Strom and the peak is aerodynamic enough to be fine at any speed.

This time of year, I'm very glad I have it!

I do agree, though that a Gixxer/R1/ZX/CBRR rider with a peaked helmet may not be so believable, go with the tape....

It was great riding into the sun yesterday, no glear, yes it acts like a peak but without the dorky look!

For years I have used the tape on the bottom of the visor. Its out of sight for normal riding. When facing a sunstrike situation I open the visor up and position the taped bit to act as a shade. It means slowing down a bit, which is probably not a bad thing in those conditions. I wear glasses anyway so dont have much of a problem with air on eyeballs.
