If you're offended by my saying Bolivia is poorer than NZ and people there less safety conscious, then I'm afraid you're just going to have to lump it. I visited Peru and Bolivia for a few weeks over the New Year 2007-2008. A few weeks doesn't make me an expert, but it's quite enough to realise these countries are poorer & people there less safety-conscious than NZ.

What does "hazte cojer" mean by the way? I know enough Spanish to order a beer or tell someone I'm not going to give them a tip, but not enough to recognise when I'm being abused. Tourists, eh!

PS: I have no objection at all to people using Spanish, or Spanglish, on this WWW site. All part of life's rich tapestry. Just be aware that most of the people reading it don't understand Spanish.
