Just changed my own tyres! What an arse!

Can see now why i hadn't done it before ! But thinking, there will come a time i will get caught out at the track, so i'd better start practising so i don't look stupid,. spending an hour os so changing tyres while everyones having fun !

Well i done it now and ya can shove that for any kind of fun ! Still got to go to the bloody shop as i dont have a balancer Grrrr !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

Is taking a set 'ready to go' to the track out of the question?
Cut down on 'loss of track time' for one...

Nomally do carry a set of wets in the van on the spare rims Maha (not that i'd ride in the wet unless it was race day)
But have bears racing on saturday at manfield, which i want to run some new racetecs at and a track day at taupo sunday which i dont want to chew the racetecs out on lol, so off come the wets and on go some 2nd hand trackday tyres ! (Taking a punt that it will be fine on saturday)
Could have gone down to the shop and had it all done but it was the old saying "i'm gonna have to do it one day, may as well practise at home where there's a beer handy" !
Prolly saved enough for another box of piss too which i think is pretty bloody forward of me hehe !

I had to walk away and consult the video again to see where I was going wrong.

    Thats still to long.

Not blowing my own trumpet here and maybe I have been doing tyres to long but im pretty sure I could do them quicker than that. Its practice makes perfect and make sure you have long tyres levers not those shit little short ones. Plenty of lube aswell.

Hahaha, I hear ya fella! Yep, fuck that for a game of soldiers, I did 'em myself a while back and swore I'd never do it manually again: $20 at the local servo/tyre shop is money well spent.

I hate to think of the shit that would come outta my gob and the tools that would be flyin' around the pits if I had to do it under pressure trackside, no place for children that's for sure!
