Either there is a pinhole in the space-time continum at the Picton Ferry wharf (possible)

or he has been at the same stuff as Sidewinder (unlikely)

Thanks guys --definitely a 2 day trip then -4.00 am leave dorkland 4 in welly town 1 ish at ferry 4.00 picton 9 christchurch .
Next day 7.30 leave then need to check flights up

It's not cheaper to give it to a transport company, FROSTY? (I don't know, I'm just asking)

There is a really big difference between what we believe, how we feel about things, and REALITY. If we FEEL it is further, this may not always be the case, and not surprisingly, the reverse is true.

Give it due diligence and see for yourself... Go on an hours drive on the open road in light traffic. Limit your speed to 90km/hr. It WILL take you LONGER to get there - maybe ten minutes ish. It will FEEL like it takes LESS time. I shit you not.

Actaully I agree with you in a way

I used to sail on old Holden between Dunedin and Chch regularly.

It wasn't fast, but it was like travelling in a mobile armchair.

You got there much more relaxed than you did in newer car

(But I still prefer my Ducati)

At legal speeds, in a cage Chch to Invercargill via Twizel is about 7 1/2 hrs

I think Picton Chch may be about 4 or a little more

Its going to take you ALL day...

if Picton to Chch is 4 hours how do you manage it via Twizel in 7.5 ?

Having driven down there many a time 9 -10 hrs
