Of course, photo evidence is mandatory!!
so if you crashed and won, with a standup accross the line and did a rolling burnout from the escape road to pit lane, not only would you be $300 better off, you would also be a fugin legend!

There was an article I read which said that if there was a cash prize involved it was expected that a Mothers member would win. The article also mentioned a shotgun...

I hope he's aware of these subtleties.

Well ya can all keep ya bloody money haha Wasn't the slowest and made sure i was on the front grid for the 4th race but there was still a good 7 or 8 riders faster than i was, in the all comers group (good 50 or so on the grid lol)
So no podiums, no standups, no burnouts, no crashes but i had a friggin good time ! Turn one was fun every race lol
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

Yeah , have to admit to being a little skittish the first few races and setting up in grid 2 (the grid lines were a good 10 or 12 abreast haha) was surprised there wasn't more carnage in those first laps, but i was getting fairly good starts from the 2nd grid which had me going into T1 in amoungst the first group and picking a few of bikes off in the 4 lap races, so thought i'd best see how i do on the front grid ! Of course i overcooked it and spent a good 6 meters on one wheel and with elbows only inches away i thought buttoning off was a good idea (so as to steer a bit better) which let half of em get ahead of me (i have to say i am surprised how quick the triple is getting me off the line), then there was a good tangle of about 4 or 5 bikes in that last race, which had them all run out wide and leave a big hole in front of me, with prolly 4 bikes getting away ! Think everyone came out of the turn and Flame came out of it just ahead of me unscathed (apart from having a few bruises and a flapping tail as it was her that was hit in the side, funilly enough by the same patch member, that was elbowing her as she went to pass him in the race prior) so i just put me head down and tried to match her speed ! But yeah there were bigger HP bikes there and quite a few far better riders than me so had another few riders slip past me during that race who i couldn't reel back in, to finish maybe 8th or 9th !
Shit but what a fun bloody day ! The fields were that big i was side by side with at least one bike in near every bloody corner ! Even lapped a few bikes haha (not that that earns me any brownie points let alone any pledges, (sorry rider) Gave it a crack !

Wel that turned into a ride report lol !

Edit: Well heck, if any of you pledgers want to carry it on for the 3rd round of the PMCC summer series, be my guest and post up again !
Obviously i was out of my league, as every bears racer in the north island was in all comers yesterday, which narrowed my chances Immencely, think 90% of those in front of me in that last race, had a race number painted on !

I'll be racing in clubmans on the 5th at taupo, again i have no idea who'll be there or how good they are !
Welcome any and all pledges ya might want to post up for that one !

You looked like you had got into the spirit of it when you went past me !! I was scared shitless most of the time !

I'll probably be back next year though, and maybe a bit more adventurous when my bike isn't so new and shiny

Yeah that first lap was an adrenilyn filled bugger aye haha pretty tight racing till the field stretched out a bit !
Did you get to talk to the bloke in the Axe throwers pit next to me ? He was flying on that 675 and once he got round me there was no way i could reel him in ! Be interesting to know what gearing he had compared to yours, as he had it reving it's nuts off right through the gears !
