I'll be going for mine soonish. Need to practice some u turns, I think thats what will hold me up. How wide was the road you had to do it on? Like normal two lanes or slightly smaller/bigger?

Many congrats on a great result. Just remember that NOW is when you really start to learn. Take the examiners advice and do practice turns and stops and anything else you need to keep you safe.

It was a two-laned side street street in town with no centre marking. I never went out of town for the whole test and it took all of about 7 minutes.

Also, there are 3 of us in our family who recently went through the GDLS process and I know a number of other people around town who have recently completed their licenses. I thought it was interesting that the route taken by the instructors has been completely different for all of us.

All the best with doing your full Thani-B, and really, there is no substitute for practice, practice, practice...

WOW 7 MINUTES, I might have to come and do mine up there! My restricted here took 20 minutes and the full licence time is about 40 - 60 minutes long! (so my husband says)

I'm not upgrading yet. I'm saving for my dream bike (a Triumph Daytona 675) but in the meantime I'm happy with my GT250R.

Yeah, they are pretty relaxed up here! My husband got about 2 minutes into both his restricted and full tests and the testing officer says, 'Turn around, you're wasting my gas, bro!' He didn't even do a u-turn! I think they look at your riding style and if you look like you were born on a bike, then they are happy with that
