We have always advertised it as the "Sundown Retreat" but it is also a place where people rally together, even this thread is named Greta Valley Rally, so it has a few nick names, we even discussed this on the weekend and no one came up with a solution to setting the name in concrete.

Really? So if its not a rally then why does the entry form say rally? (http://nzbikerallys.com/forms/sundown%2009.pdf)

I stand corrected, thankyou, I had the month wrong and should not be posting stuff when tired.
Yes we had some early ones go out with Rally on them, and it was pointed out that it has always been the Sundown "Retreat" so it was changed back.
Names tend to change a bit, like the "Cholmondeley Story Run" commonly called "Chomley Run" or "Chomley Fund Run" perhaps you are right, names are important, we should stick to what they were given.

The Cholmondeley Story Run is on the 2nd of May 2009, see you there.

Being the thread starter I can safely say that originally I actually called the thread Greta Valley only.

Since then someone else has altered it, adding the word rally and the date...
and it wasn't me....
