$350 bucks....I KNOW there's a few on here who will destroy the rear tyre in one day.

I can see the bike hire cost going up when they figure out kiwi's have no fear!

So I wonder if they'll let the drifters etc onto the track soon after they open so that HD can have those nice repair strips that Taupo has?

As a road rider I can't help but slow right down on those annoyances... Can't seem to block them out enough to be as fast as I used to be on Taupo.

    Wasn't the drifters.
The place was sweet until the A1 turned up & ripped it up, and then did it all over again next time.
Hopefully HD have put some R&D into putting down a more suitable 'mix', else it'll suffer the same fate I'm picking

Just had a look at the website and there does seem to be alot of progress on laying the track surface. Should be a go for the spring!

ok lets factor in having staff there like ambulance / rescue staff to cart you off the track when you have an off...it all costs but then if you want to crawl to hospital be my guest.

Yeh, but those services are the same as what you get at Taupo with MotoTT - $100 prepaid, $120 pay on the day.

I think it'll end up being a 'who you know' sorta deal where people end up forming into 'trackday club groups' and hiring out the track privately and not making any profit on the day.
