Sorry to hear about AD's bike. He would pick the one time I was not able to do the Kiwi Bikere Rescue thing with my ute. Apart from having a head cold (what a way to start my SI trip ), the ute is in town to get a service while I don't need it for work. So much for previding back-up Hope he got his bike picked up OK.

Thanks john and co for a great ride.
Its nice to be able to put a face to some of these names now.
Bummer bout AD s detour, at least he's got it out of the way now.
And for very little loss of skin.
    Can't wait to go again.
    See you all soon.

great ride. hads heaps of fun. We didn't get to the lakes cause me CK and a few others decided to head off to mangawai heads and down that way... A little over 450km today and i am getting quicker by the day so that is a good think. Sorry we didn't come back AD but we thought 7 people there were enough, glad to head you aint to bad.

Rider of the day (well in my opinion) was Mini_me on the zxr250. Man awsome job ringing t's nuts off but he stayed on my ass and then some.
Lump lingered last in line for brains,
And the ones she got were sort of rotten and insane...

Great ride......bad news.. apart from AD's off...... CK's mirror falling off.... and me nearly rear ending (inches away) a bastard in the cage who indicates after he starts to turn........ Good news............ WOW!!!! what roads.......

The trip back was better than a dream...... with the couldy weather everything was surreal and mysterious....... grey sky's and grey roads...... everything seemed the same colour....... ....... one of those days when you feel glad to be alive......

And John before you condemn the ZXR in favour of the ZZR you better catch up with mini me....... that guy is bloody .......... he might as well have been riding a 400.

I hate being passed so easily by another 250 when I'm doing 150+......... he must have been doing atleast 190...... as for the others...... well:spudwhat: 200+ I guess....... cos they just dissappeared......

HUGE Thanks !!!!! John, Ant and Jess for organising everything

    Ride Report

    Well great day guys!.

We all managed to get to the well in wellsford and have a wee chat and get to know fellow members - great selection of bikes and skill levels great to see the enthusiasm of everyone to get the job done, great work really impressed!

We headed out of the well and stopped at the tearooms to regroup (sorry I went so far ahead but I was worried someone might head up the brenderwyns) so after a regroup we antallica lead the way to the roads where the fun started for everyone.

It was everyone for themselves at this point and everyone was pushing their machines to their limits - huh aff?

Great to see so many different skill levels running up front and keeping the riding good!.

Me ant and various others traveled at the back of the pack including a amazing piece of machinary that hadnt had its 1000k service? (zx6r) and we had a fairly decent pace - following behind ant (two up!) got stuck behind abit of traffic which seperated us from the pack, but it was still great.

Then sadly a rider went down (he will fill in the details) but it was an unfortunate event, but no major injuries where incurred.

We saw the crashed rider on the side of the road, and no one knew if he was ours then we clicked it was, everyone quickly turned around (I got to eager to turn around and dropped mine in the grass, so I'm offically nana of the day). And we headed up to fish him out of the drain, it was abit of an effort but we managed to get him out, and then we couldnt find any rescue but thankfully the young fellow (sorry forgot your name!!) on a CBRR250 saved us by getting a truck in and picking the rider and his bike up, I told him he had to join the forum and he will be around anytime, hes a legend!.

Some (c4. and such hadto head home, so thanks for staying and lending a hand appricated!) while me and antallica headed back to catch up with the rest of the group, abit more cautious than before, but we quickly ended up blatting the crap out of our bikes.

When we caught up with the rest (who patiently waited thanks!) they decided to head up mangawai heads fair enough hope it was great!

While ant jess and I headed for dargaville for the last leg, where I hadto show a MR2 whos king ! that was fun, average speed of about 170/160 trying to get past him on the corners, I did get him in the end which was great 1 point bikers

Anyways - here are some pictures, Hope others got more - because we werent with the pack very long because of the incident so hope more pictures were taken !

Well I'm not gunna try name them, I'm way to drunk for that - so just point yourself out

Hope to hear some tails from the other pack!

Great day, and thanks to everyone for having a great time and building your skills, and aff stop scaring little girls with your bike thankyou!
