Should ad that my shoulder has some lumpy bits but thats only buised muscles that have swelled up. Gonna take some pics of my jacket and jeans here either in a few mins or tomorrow and post them. Wrangler jeans holds up prety well and for a cheap jacket it did pretty good to though if the sleeves fit tighter then I wouldn't have any scratches. Ohwell just another reason to get the proper gear. Have to do the ride again sometime so I can finnish it and conquer that damn corner.

Anyway still proad of myself for keeping up with the back half of the fast riders exspecialy for being the only cruiser there (not sure if I said that before)
Hey alucard, I'm real sorry to hear about your accident. I know exactly how you felt yesterday cos it happened to me last year on a KB ride...except I wrote my bike off! There's a thread somewhere here that details it, you may have read about it? What a day-spoiler those bins are huh.

Anyway, hope the recovery of both you and bike is speedy.

Btw, if you believe that policewoman was 'right' in giving you that ticket then let it rest and pay up, otherwise PLEASE write a simple letter explaining what happened and requesting that the ticket be revoked - it probably will! Should take about 20 mins of your time and a 40c stamp. If you need assistance in writing it just ask MikeL.

It shouldn't be that difficult to get off that ticket dude, don't give up too easily. Take the sunnies to a local optometrist, they can measure the lenses on site and fill out a prescription form with the current daiopter for those lenses. Shouldn't cost more than $30, but some places will do it free. Send that in with a letter explaining the reason why you think the ticket should be dropped.
I'm sure $30 and some your time will be cheaper than $400!
PS - Does it carry any demerit points? If so, then it would _definately_ be worth chasing up.

Ok you peaple talked me into it I'll do it tomorrow. Don't think I have any demerit points as I don't have an NZ license yet. Just looked at the ticket and it doesn't say so I don't think I have demerit points for it.

Glad to hear that everything is sorted AD.......

I had to do around 150 to pass those cars...... bastards were not to happy and were doing over 110-115. I saw you attempt to take them just before I took the corner and I thought that your 1100cc would get you home......... didn't realise that corner was so awkward.......

But hey......... atleast you've lived to tell your story Good on you mate for not losing your cool and keeping it all together......

As soon as you get your bike sorted we'll organise a celebratory ride

Yea mate if the gravel wasn't there it wouldn't have been a problem. Not to worried still and by the way anybody know where I can get some custom pipes? Wanna get a 2-4 set up so I can have 2 pipes on either side of the bike, I know how it can be done just not how to do it. Gonna take the bike out to a couple of custom shops I know of in Hamilton and see what they say about what I want to get done. Stuff should be sorted soon hopefully.

There is a place called custom chambers in auckers that does custom m/c pipes but they are pretty expensive. Just get a couple of us to come round i am sure we can sort you out....... i did it to fit a 400 zorst on my old vt250 ages ago hahhahaha. I would say street fighter the 1100 but then it's only a cruiser hahaha

And the back end of the faster riders..... that was me wasn't it were you right behind me or something?? didn't see ya
Lump lingered last in line for brains,

Nah mate I was behind JustSomeGuy. And if anyone on here thinks they wanna try thier hand at fabricating some custom pipes I'm sure I can find some wreker ones and then just weld them together or something. I know how it can be done just not how to do it.

    Hur hur... mebbe not then...
It was funny somehow, quite apart from my unsuccessfully dodging the little bastard and subsequently blasting mono's (oscar) brand shiny new baby with glass and debris. At least no major damage was done (cept to the wayward mirror).
    yup. Bugger!

Felt like a bit of a twit for not puilling over and sorting it out, especially when I saw how much play it had. Sorry for the impromptu lesson in debris avoidance fellas! Hope there wasn't any damage found when the bikes got home.

Good ride all round but definitely sorry to hear about AD's ticket on top of his crash. Mate, if you got the glasses from an optometrist, they'll have it on record and you should just be able to send in a copy of that with your politely worded letter. $400 for that is bloody mad anyway!

I did notice you sunning yourself proudly with the crusier on its centre stand! Looked remarkably comfortable too!

Hehe yea mate, looks cool aye. That's why I will always own some kind of cruiser with the sissy bar. Been known to take naps like that too it's that comfy. Might let y'all try it sometime once I can actually get the centre stand down again.
