Mate, I was fully prepared to ride that 190 horse beast with no lights on cold slicks on a freezing, dewy night at 1:00am for 90k's so you could race the next day!! Problem was no helmet or gear (and we all know that riding without decent gear isn't hard, it's fucken retarded). Ok, so I didn't want to get stuck in Pahiatua, but that's not the point!!
