    Making my ZZR faster

    Hi yawl

Just wondering if there is anything I can do to my bike to make it a bit faster??

The simpler way would be to sell it and buy a CBR, ZXR, etc I guess......

But I've spent a lot of cash getting it serviced and repaired and it is mechanically mint........

However I think I could do with a bit more pace......

Another thing worth mentioning...... I rarely ride past 12,000rpm cos I'm scared of breaking something...and usually hover in the 9-11,000 range...how much higher in the rev range can I go??

Lots of people have told me thats it's a crappy handling heavy bike....... but I figure if I can get some pace on a crappy handling heavy bike then it will make me a better rider than learning on a fast light bike...........

    Whaddyatink????:spudwhat:

It's the weight that holds the ZZR's back - and most 250's don't have much room for modding...

Really..... it only weighs around 150kg.......

I should just save up for a bigger bike and concentrate on only learning here......

Remember it's more rider than the bike.

I would keep it standard. If you want more power upgrade to a 400 when you can.

ZZR is a great bike, slap a 2into one exhaust on it and you will enjoy riding again - I constently hit the limiter on mine, it never skipped a beat - they are great bikes and are awsome in the corners, although I dont like its skinny front though.

    Talking

Bang a NOS kit in it. Its good for a few ponies. If some guy can do it to a scooter, a 250 should be no worries

Pretty inefficent - prob wouldnt be as bad with some fuel injection - but turbos, to much heat - to leathal, I saw a GSX turbo'd it was nuts like 600hp - it was just beyond the world - It blew up though.

Dont be scared to chuck her/him into the corners - he/she loves it - just make sure your in the right gear before entry nothing worse than no go out of the corner, just keep within your limits - the bike has a amazing centre of gravity it never ever got flakey with me in the corners.

Well - the ZZR is a crap load more comfortable, and the ZZR felt more 'in' the corner - the zxr just doesnt feel like its turning in.

But as for acceleration, and top speed - the ZXR is amazing, acceleration pushes you very hard into the back of the seat and often wheelies all the time, top speed is also amazing where the ZZR stopped this thing keeps going and going and going over 180 - its really amazing, accelerates with pleasure to 170 then slows its acceleration abit til 180.
