    Bad accident at Granada today

Came across a bad smash today. I followed a Fire Engine up the Granada slip Rd heading into Wellington at 8:50am today only to get to the top of the slip to find 6 sets of disco lights and 2 Fire Engines.
There was a courier van sitting across 2 lanes and as I got along side, saw a sports bike down and everyone leaning over the rider.
It looked to me like the van had changed lanes and sent the bike into the barriers. Not good!
I'm only wearing black until they develop something darker

    Wasn't me guys

I got to work just fine today.

    Best wishes to downed rider.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

I went past in the van just after you. The motorcyclist was being lifted on to the stretcher and into the ambulance and he appeared to be sitting up and talking to ambo's. His bike looked trashed.

Pleased to hear that the rider is OK, hope the van driver is insured!
A lucky escape for the rider, had it happened where ther was a cheese cutter things would have been very different.
