    Talking Aucklanders

Have just spent the last few days up in Auckland and found them there Aucklanders to be the freindliest folk around. So sod all the folk that call them Jaffas, I think they are the trendiest and friendliest folk in NZ and I have travelled up and down the Islands to say that.

All that crap that folk spout on about Aucklanders is totally unfounded. They can get stuffed if they say nasty things about Aucklanders............. Read my thread on The Coast to Coast and Find out why I hold the Aucklanders dear to my heart now.

Ciao for now, Coast to Coat write up will be done real soon, have to squeeze out some zzzzzzzzzzz'z now
"I'm gunna hug ya, and squeeze ya, and call ya George!" "Spread the smile and watch it come back at cha" x

Thank you to those who came to the Garstonian Rally 2009, heads up for the 2010 Rally.......

Well I guess if you use Queenstowners as a measuring rod.....

I always thought JAFA was an anagram for "Just another Friendly Aucklander"....(Another Tui moment there)

So ...uh ....when were you planning to move north?

Depends which part they are in.

I lived there for 18 months and a lot of them were anything but friendly.

If you want to see genuinely friendly folk, I'd recommend somewhere like Taupo.
What you have in your heart will be revealed through what you have in your life.

If things are going badly in our circumstances, the answer to what is happening to us outwardly is more often than not found in the mirror.

its true... Aucklanders are nice people
I had that Canterbury attitude when I came to Auckland, that changed very fast.
Mind you I never went for the Blues Back to being a Wellington fan again now,

I can explain this, there actualy two Aucklands.

When coming over the Bombays if you need to be in the right lane for the correct Auckland.

The other lane takes you to the shit hole (where I can keep a good earning job) where we have the notable distinctions of having the highest rates in unzud of burgulary, mcycle theft (see Frosty for that) violent crime, fucking tailgaters.. I could go on.

Or .... the arsehole rate is the same anywhere, we just concentrate a whole bunch of them in one place so that their prey is also concentrated. Intermingled in this mess is also the same ratio of the "freindliest folk around" that exists anywhere else.

I guess with some 1 Million inmates, the law of averages says there'll be quite a few friendly ones. I guess the laws of coincidence put them all in your vicinity.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Yeah real friendly - lived in Taupo for 2 years and the neighbours kids all called my family Honkies and stole their toys.

As you say, it's individual experiences, eh?

Some are a bit toffee nosed, to be sure (generally the ones that live in Auckland City proper), but mostly Aucklanders are just the same as other NZers, except often a bit more "townie". I've lived in/around Auckland now for over 10 years off and on, but funnily enough I still don't consider myself a true Aucklander. I grew up Waikato and that's where I think of as "home". You can take the girl out of mooloo.... My husband is born and bred West Auckland and you would never pick him as an Aucklander if you met him on the street! (He doesn't dress well enough for a start! )

Lived in Auckland for 7 years, most were great, but not all.
Just like everywhere there is a "wrong side of the tracks" peoples... ie; some right assholes.
Have lived lots of places, great people everywhere, shyte people everywhere.
Best part is, there are more great people out there than shyte people thank goodness!!
