    Anyone work for Vodafone?

Well after about 15+ years with Vodafone I have just about had enough....

today I called up to change my plan and get best mate on a new account...

selected the on account plan that suited but then told that best mate can not be added to that plan even tho addons were advertised and best mate was one for on account plans....

after 3 people on the phone I was transfered to another person who i could not understand as proberley in india or some where like that....
I asked for someone else as I said i could not understand them and asked a few times saying I was having trouble understanding them.... last comment after about 5-10min from them was 'how can I help' about the 5th time they has asked and I had replied to speak to someone with better English.... no fucken help

They have a forum that you can complain on - seems to get results.

I'd post and ask for you - but I got banned after a single post.

Just out of interest.. how much would people be prepared to pay (extra) a month to be able to speak to a Kiwi on the end of the line when they ring customer services?
Not just a Kiwi, but a knowledgable vodafone employee, rather than some egyptian or a cheap outsourced company employee.

The outsourcing is going to be down to costs.. monkeys are cheaper than real people.. How many people would be prepared to pay more, to get more?
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

There is only one Telco in NZ that has its call centres completely in NZ. Telecom is consigning a further 250 places to India.

Me, I would pay extra, to get help in a reasonable time, to get my account payments processed on the day the payments are made so my phones are not cut off, to be able to actually hold a conversaton with someone that sounds like they are speaking English. I am just about over talking to english speakers that I cant understand not matter how many times I aske for them to repeat themselves.

I am no biggot but have to admit that it has now reached the point that I flare on contact with an accent that makes basic words unintelligable. To be fair it is not just Vodafone here, seems no matter where you go you have English as second language speakers on the end of the phone.

Mmmm! We do have a mix of many nationalities at work, but it means that pretty much anyone can talk to someone in their own language. You could try ringing our free-phone and ask for me...

I had an issue with Vodafone recently .. after getting the run around from the call centres (o/seas) I remembered that Paul Brislen external communications manager posted to thread in here

so I pmed him & presto I was acknowledged and had my issue resolved in just over 24 hours ...

that was brilliant service, still going to email regarding the other service received which was less than brilliant

Buy the new one instead. The one that works on UMTS900. Within not very long, there'll be as much coverage with that as there is existing 2G.

My Vodem is good.. faster than the Telecom (alleged) broadband out of the wall in my house.

My vodagrone internet has been unreliable since it got "upgraded". Logged a call 8 weeks ago, saw some tumbleweed go past the window 5 minutes ago....
