    Holiday Rides

    Right,

    1. 12 Days off work starting Monday 30th March..
    2. New Bike, so need to put some k's on it.
    3. Nothing exciting planned, except for riding as much as I can, at any time of the day or night as well....

So if the weather plays ball, will be posting up where I'm headed. If you wanna tag along, most welcome.

The rides will range anywhere from around Welly area, to Napier, Wanganui, New Plymouth, Taupo.

Castlepoint, martinborough, the back roads around gladstone etc. Basically anywhere that strikes the interest and will be at varying times.

    General Pootling is the aim.......

Will be sometime before the 10th April for sure. Might end up doing an overnighter again. Am wanting to explore up to Gizzy, and then back through Taupo, and home again. hhmmmmm come to think of it, might end up being more than one night away....

If you see a lost looking rider between Auckland and Wellington thats just me riding down.... Gabby is taking the car and I am following her.
see how many days it will take 2 kids 1 dog to drive her crazy
AND we are leaving on Thursday before easter
If you are behind meDont ask as I am lost too.

Went for a blat from Welly to Otaki, with the other half as pillion Saturday. Wow what a day. Blue sky, very little wind. Magic day to be out on the bike. Gave the communications system a good test out. It performed 100%....

Always take the camera with me, with the intention of taking lots of pics, but dammit only managed one....

Partner and bike. (1st rest stop, as bit of numb bum happening... )

    Monday 30th

Monday the 30th. What a brilliant day to be out riding.

Started off with a catch up with a work colleague, at the duckpond at 10am for a cruisy run over the Haywards, around the inlet, and then into Tawa for a coffee and a chat. Then it was home for the workmate, me I still had time to kill, so I pointed the bike in the direction of the Paekakariki Hill rd, and went over that and back again. Headed out to eastbourne, where I had another coffee and a gellato. Then I headed over the Wainui hill and out the coast road. Home for a short while, then back over the hill to pick up the partner who had escaped from work early. Coffee at Qgate, and then it was a nice cruisy ride home with her on the back....

Why can't all Monday's be like this.....

I fully recommend it. Our place is a good launching point for the Cape.
Go on, you know you want to.....

Yup I sure do, want to get up and explore the east cape. Only a short break this time. If I do make it up will most likely be Tues/Wed/Thur next week. If not next chance will be next summer......
