Well there you go then, my plan worked and a more knowledgeable saviour stepped forth and rescued me from my own gullibility.
Just, my employer is a high street bank and I doubt that they were using Yellow Pages for cold calling. If they wanted to do that sort of thing I'm sure they could obtain far more "targeted" and useful lists from the marketplace. And if YP wanted to identify commercial users I sure it would not be too hard to get their IP addresses (probably listed in the Yellow Pages) and block them. Then there is the fact that my employer's network simply will not connect to YP to wit.....
"Change description - Access to The White Pages will change to be via the Veda Advantage web site only. This access is for commercial use only with applicable service charges being applied.
The Yellow Pages Group have advised that direct access to their website will no longer be allowed from the ****** network"
And I'll own that bullying comment, even though I did think better of it an retract it as unworthy of me and perhaps underved by you. What else can I say... "Easily would up".
You are right, I'm a ruff tuff biker boy and I need to learn to HTFU.
