Motto TT Day Taupo 27 Feb. (disappointments)

Hay Guy's did my second Motto TT trackday feb 27th and then the Kiwitrack day on the Sunday 1st March ,I've been on the committee side of moto-cross at the kapi-mana club for 3-4 years helping out building track variations and all of the usuall committee dutie's I was lucky enough to be self employed and some weeks would spend 20plus hrs buildng variations to make the great sport as challanging and interesting as pos , that's my blow line in short I understand helping out and organising events, I was disappointed with the second half of the Motto tt event , the ride's in the medium class were getting shorter and shorter ,no it was'nt raining /perfect conditions in fact , was told I would be shagged by the end of the day, and witnessed fast guy's comming in and being let out with us Medium's, cool thought they must have relaxed abit !not so when trying to cruise off the back of the last slow group got told "NO WAY" , Now I went over and asked what was the rules! we had been given maybe 5 lap's which made me furious on or last outing, they advertise 20 min runs we never saw that all day.The supervisor was a polite dude but I spend good money to travell from Wellington ,fuel/accomodation/food/rebooting work commitment's TO RIDE, if you want tired try moto-cross lads , if you are tired "pull off and have a rest" but I left unsatisfied ride wise ,sorry guy's this could be an awesome event.
Did the KiwiTrack day Sunday "awesome" the organiser is into it! good morning rides and went back to back in the avo then took an hour's break went out for the last run and left beaming , luv track day's come on Motto TT make it a ripper , you guy's working out two track day's in a weekend is a serious bonus to the people that really luv their riding keep up that option !!!!!.

Is this a copy of the email you sent to Motott ?
I was there on the friday for the motott and sundays kiwi !
I believe your having a whinge about the last half hour of the day and thats it !!!!!! They (the organisers) have to have everyone off the track by a certain time, so yeah the last ride of the day (where most ppl have left anyway due to being shagged) Wasn't as long as the others and it is usually shortened to allow all groups to get an even amount of turns out there (or whingers will start publicly slagging them)
Sure, the odd rider from group one has been allowed to tag on in group 2 in the LAST session in the past (i say HAS BEEN, because some whinger may have shut that door for us because of a public cry) if they feel they havent had enough tracktime (i didn't , as i was shagged) BUT I wonder why they wouldn't let you (an obviously experienced rider) go out in group 4 ? Perhaps a quick guy on a thou might be a bit intimidating to the novices out in the learners group aye !
Answer is simple bro ! Move up to group 1 !!!!! Or just don't do the motott ! Their market is the road rider who wants to gain experience on the track in a controlled environment, the hard out experienced guys (hunting all the tracktime we can get) are just the cream for them !
I've been doing the Motott for over 12 months now and the way they run it now, is EXACTLY the same as it was 12 months ago ! Why should they change it, it works !
Ppl whinge when the sessions are 20 min, cause they have to wait too long between sessions, others whinge that the sessions are too short, but then complain when they have to wait !
Some even whinge when they see others get a bigger lick of the lollie pop !
See ya at the track on friday bro !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

    Motto tt day

Did'nt think I was whingeing Bud , am new to the road scene but am a passonate rider ,CLEARLY I was refering to the second half of the day as being shorter ride's , CLEARLY we never got 20 minute run's all day , they CLEARLY advertise 20 min run's, so if you have the inside information as you CLEARLY do you can ride with who ever you want , no prob quite use to seeing rules being made up as you get to know people , maybe when I get to know these organiser's a bit better as you have I'll be another preivilledged insider , but for now I'm clearly a whineger, as I CLEARLY stated give us the 20 min ride's as advertised ,pull off if ya tired or go home sweet as.

I am out to maximise my ride time when at these events not listen to preivilleged garble ,simple message ,but big prop's to Motto TT for taking on these track day's as I'm sure their's a bit of work behind the scene's ,just trying to offer some opinion for improvement .
Time's/ as finish time ? CLEARLY I said all day regarding 20 minute's
Sorry if I've fkd up anyone's secret last ride.
I'm not on race pace and therefore am a medium paced rider and am not asking for any special previlages and fail to see how the fast group would give me any more ride time than medium , you could go round that track at 100klm as far as I concerned and be on the same level of passion as anyone , so much for the big balls comment's .
No I didn't write to Motto tt.

Any ho enjoy your ride dude , thats what it's all about.

Dirty If youve done a few trackdays then YEP the one on the 31st will be for you---ALL DAY on track.

Mate I can't and wont comment about a specific Moto TT track day. -I can't -I wasn't there.
What I can say is that I know for FACT that The MotoTT crew aren't out to rip you off or upset you.
I'll put money theyre reading your posting here
Being an evert organiser you will know
Theres a whole bunch of issues going on behind the scenes why session lenth will be shortened. NONE of them are ever to deliberately make a customer unhappy.
Unfortunately sometimes shit happens and you have to make a call on how best to keep the most customers happy.
On one Kiwibiker trackday the day started out apsolutely shocking.
We had to stop an early session cos some idiot was out with a bald tyre -then hid from us.Got em back on track and some poor sod crashed badly so the ambo was on track. There were some other crashes. BY 12.30 I called lunch to kinda regroup but the fast group had only got on track for ONE session. -people were none too happy
Next track day went smooth as silk and every group had 3 sessions before I stopped for lunch.
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?

Any ho enjoy your ride dude , thats what it's all about.
Ya should use the quote option so someone knows ya replied !
No one said anything about priviledges dude ! It aint no secret !
If on the day you had asked if you could go out in the group up from yours and then your group to lengthen the last run, i'm pretty sure you would have got the nod, thats what some riders do ! Not rock up to the learner group session and expect to go out in it lol
But it is true that the organisers have prolly read this thread (can't see them getting involved as it aint worth it to them) so you'll prolly find that now if anyone asks if they can go out and do a double, the answer will prolly be nah sorry it causes some ppl to get upset and publicly complain !
Yeah it rattled my cage and yeah i insinuated your a whinger because of it !
If you had posted it up slightly different like whats the story, how do we get to do a double last session during these events i would have prolly said throw ya bike in the van next to mine mate and lets rock up to taupo and i'll show ya !

The twenty min sessions have prolly been shortened because of ppl whinging that there is too long between sessions, so i guess it goes to show ya cant please everyone aye !

Now who mentioned big balls comments ?

apologies to Motto TT if they have read and feel hard done buy these comment's were intended to strike some meduim ground , have just unloaded my restaurant after 16 year's so I understand compromise, got a serve also from Kiwibiker admin regarding my retaliation to "biggles 08" little dig at my unrefined poetry , well Kiwi biker if the guy can post that sort of feedback which I consider a blatant attack nothing short , I take nothing back but will reframe in future from well suited name calling. (hope he did'nt cry)
Just got back from the Wed ride good turnout ,good laugh's ended up at the white swan greytown, hope to do the thurs ride tommorrow .

Figured we may have met along the way !
I do stick up for em cause no one in the motott management will get into a debate on here and to be honest there have been a few comments of late re the time between sessions so, hey they might have shortened them a bit to get turnover going on, sort of please peter only to upset paul !
I've explained the tagging on bit on the last sesh and i've only done it once in the last yr and shit, i'm buggered if i know how i rode home that night lol (can just about guess the bike that you saw join in though, it aint that common)
Think you will find that when things roll nicely for them, tracktime flows for us !
You will find that the KB mods gave ya a serve just to quell yr responces before they got out of hand ! My thinking is biggles thought you were someone else and the mods would have just thought it best to shh you up !

Welcome to the site anyway man and though it is motott friendly (nothing wrong with that, if it wasn't for them my times wouldnt be where they are now lol I blame them) You will have a ball on here !

I say again, this friday is redline trackday and the motott is on sat ! Then there is the Frosty day on tuesday where you will come out with an empty tank or three !
    http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=93548
Redline will almost certainly have a space and motott is booked for sat but if ya rock up at 9 or 9.30 chances are there will be room ! If not then a quiet ride home works !
Ya cant beat a double header to blow the webs out ! or three in 5 days to wipe ya out !

Dirty89...I am not a cleaner and I didn't cry, thanks for the concern...I'll be happy to discuss with you to your face why your post was inappropriate if you happen to have the balls to come talk to me at a track day I'm at...oh and by the way, thanks for the tough talk you sent me via pm...hope it made you feel like a real big man! (Honda riders...pfffttt) My post was not an attack...you will know an attack if you ever have the misfortune of being at the end of one
