What do people think of the Greymouth street race dvd?

just bought the new dvd on last years greymouth street race. has some really good coverage of the event and some fantastic racing. street and sport have done a great job of it. only prob is they mixed the f3 footage in with the formula greymouth but not that bad. what did other people think of it?

I haven't seen it but I put my name down to get a copy, I wondered what had happened to it.
Hope they haven't lost the list !!

ok just watched it... as a racer at the event it didnt cover the racing nearly enough. I was hoping to see the passing and general close racing but instead I feel like i just watched a few scenes from each class and i'm sure some scenes were even repeated a few times.

If I didnt know anything about the event and was interested to compete or go and watch the event then I would have found the DVD very helpful.

Like Bren says... and I dont agree intiely with the Professor and a few of the non racer interviews.
Awesom scenery of the ride over (Camera man needs to stay on the LEFT side of the road) too much Triump adds (hehe) Great coverage of the buckets and a knob with a broken 350LC, Lil'M is looking good, but yes the actual racing was minimal.
    cheers DD

I believe you have watched a documentary done by an independent group which shows them travelling from the east coast to the west coast to watch the Greymouth street race. Other than give permission to the camera crew to film ,the Greymouth Street race committee has not endorsed or provided any other dvd for the 2008 event.

I believe this is the only professionally filmed footage of the event, i cant wait to see it myself.

Our funding for tv coverage was not available last year but HAS been approved for the 20th anniversary event in 2009!!!

just watched "accross the great divide" - a great little dvd. phill garett would have to be an honorary ambassador for our event, talked it up big time. good on ya phill and street and sport.

    just got dvd myself.
Thought the interviews dragged on a bit! yeh very "trumpet biased' but i got one so cant see a prob with that.
Bit more racing footage would have been good. A camera at kerb level or 1st corner would have been good too.
got to see me bike quite a lot (which is good) Even got me ugly mug talkin too......... No tv career for me just yet BUGGER.
