    YZF 600R Thunder Cat

I bought this bike at the start of Feb and have used it for a tour of NZ, doing about 4500km.

It's a great sport touring bike, I've been very impressed by it's performance on this trip. It's in fantastic condition for its age and milage. In fact, you would think the bike had done 40-50k less.

Bike has a touring screen and aftermarket smaller indicators. I have the originals as well if you prefer. I've installed a pack rack too, and oxford hot grips are installed.

The previous owner claimed to have kept the bike well serviced and done whatever was necessary, when necessary. In the time I've had it, I've had the battery replaced and fork seals replaced.

With the distances I've done, some of the consumables have been, well, consumed. If I were to keep the bike longer (which I'd like to do!) then in the not too distant future I would:

    - Replace the rear tyre as it's pretty squared off. Front has plenty left.
    - Replace the chain and sprockets. I've had to adjust every 1000kms lately.
    - Get a minor service done - oil, filter, plugs etc.

Then it'd be in top shape again.

Some minor issues with the bike are:

    - The left hand side mirror doesn't hold it's position, so has been taped into place.
    - There are a couple of scratches on the exhaust. Some have been buffed out. Nothing too serious, you have to get close to really notice.
    - There is a small rip on the seat - hasn't got any bigger while I've had the bike, and the previous owner told me the same thing.

Owners manual (printed off internet) and Haynes Manual also supplied with the bike. WOF and Rego until July.

I'm leaving the country on the 29th March so the bike will be located at my Father's house near Amberley, north of Christchurch. Please contact him for viewings on samdown at scorch.co.nz - if you have any questions about the bike then contact me directly. I may not be able to check email regularly for a while so it may take some time to get a reponse.

Asking for $4500. I have tried to honestly describe the bike as well as I know it. It is for sale as seen/as is where is, but I believe it to be a fabulous bike.

Hi, did you do the sprockets the same time as the chain?
